Lead pastor at Epic Church KC, Bobby Hawk resigned on Friday as declared by the board of directors of church in an email to its members. The board said in email, “The Board of Directors at EPIC church wishes to inform you as a member of the congregation that Pastor Bobby Hawk has given the Board his resignation letter effective June 21, 2024.”
The resignation occurred just two days after the allegation put on Hawk by Izzy Davis. One of the allegations was, Hawk groomed her when she was 12-year-old. Davis also said that she made this choice for doing so when she came to know that Hawk would not be re-elected for president of the Blue Springs Board of Education. Hawk presented his resignation on Wednesday to board.
The Blue Spring Police is investigating allegations against Hawk. “Please be in prayer for Pastor Bobby and Vanessa, the EPIC staff and leadership, as we navigate this difficult time,” the board said in an email. “We are believing that God will help us understand next steps, and a plan that will bring glory to His kingdom.”
