A search and rescue operation has been launched by authorities after missing of two individuals in the Steel Bender off-road trail area of Grand County, Utah. The officials have received a report about an abandoned vehicle on Monday which is later on found to be associated with an overdue party and this belongs to the missing individuals which was found in the Steel Bender trail area.

Multiple agencies have been involved in the search including ground teams, helicopter, and dogs. The missing individuals consists of one male and one female. “Our top priority remains the swift and safe resolution of this situation,” according to a statement from the Grand County Sheriff’s Office. “We would like to thank the public for any assistance and its cooperation in staying clear of the search area.”

The search is ongoing as said by Sheriff Jamison Wiggins and public is restricted from entering the Steel Bender Trail area. “At this time, the Grand County Sherif’s Office is asking for the public to avoid the Steel Bender Trail area while this search is ongoing,” according to the sheriff’s statement. “If the public would like to assist by providing food or drinks for the search teams, they can contact the Grand County Sheriff’s Office.”
