A woman has been arrested by West Columbia Police for robbing a bank in town on Thursday. The incident took place around 11:30 a.m. at the Security Federal Bank located at 1185 #B on Sunset Boulevard. The suspect named Satorius Zayevon Martin of age 30 years entered the back and took money. She said that she had a gun but never had any weapon with her. There were no injuries reported. She was arrested around 1:30 p.m. Officers got help from the FBI and the Lexington County Sheriff’s Officer to identify the suspect quickly.
“We are grateful for the quick and coordinated response by our officers and partners at the FBI and the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department,” said Police Chief Marion Boyce in a statement. “This arrest is a testament to the dedication and professionalism of all the law enforcement personnel involved.” The police took Martin to the Lexington County Detention Center to await her first court appearance.
