A long-time science teacher of Ross Middle School named Nicole Pelton of age 52 years died on Sunday in a wrong-way crash in West Chester, Oh. She was teaching 6th grade of the school for the past 22 years. All the students and staff of the school remembered her as and enthusiastic teacher and the Ross Township community also remembered her.
Ross Local Schools wrote a letter to parents by saying, “Mrs. Pelton was not just a teacher; she was a beacon of light in our school community with a passion for sharing her love of science”. A former student from the Ross Township named Olivia Gertin of age 24 years described her as an exceptional teacher, who science lessons encouraged her to pursue science degree in college.
“As we mourn the loss of Mrs. Pelton, let us also remember the joy, curiosity, and knowledge she brought into our lives,” Ross schools said in a statement.
Nicole Pelton along with her husband Patrick Pelton was driving when they struck by a vehicle driving on wrong-way along Cox Road in West Chester, as per the West Chester Police Department. The vehicle that hit them, was a SUV whose driver named Gregory Meyer of age 65 years also died.
Authorities are still investigating the crash.
