Former Baltimore City State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby prison time has been spared on Thursday by a federal judge. But he was ordered the forfeiture of her Florida vacation home. Judge Lydia Griggsby was sentenced to a 12 months home confinement along with two years of supervised release. He was sentenced when two separate judges convicted Mosby of perjury and mortgage fraud.
Judge Lydia Griggsby agreed with the government that the approval for a mortgage loan to Mosby has not received as she had not submitted a false $5000 gist letter from her ex-husband Nick Mosby. She can keep 10% of the original value of down payment as per the part of ruling, she put on home. The initial purchase price of home was reported to be $428,000 but Redfin now estimates the home is worth $886,000. Griggsby is expected to ask for stay in order by Mosby’s lawyers.
After this Mosby had faced 40-years of imprisonment. Mosby claimed that she was politically targeted.
