The child named Baki Dewees born on April 14 is missing from Palmdale, California since May 3 as said by his great aunt. She also revealed that she saw him with his father, Yusuf Dewees last time who is currently in Weber County jail, Utah. He was arrested on charges of obstruction of justice and making a false statement.

Roselani Gaoa of age 25 years, mother of Baki is in custody on three charges that include child abuse. As the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department did not identified the child in the release, they are now investigating the death of infant in Palmdale.

“During the early stages, the investigation transitioned from a missing child search to a death investigation,” the sheriff’s department said in an update. Infant’s grandmother said that the child was few days old when his mother was arrested on charges of child abuse. Baki’s grandfather, Brad Parke said to NBC Los Angeles, “When the baby came up missing, that’s when you know something is wrong.” He also said that, “We just want to know where the baby’s at. Hoping that the baby’s alive, praying that the baby’s actually alive.”
