A man from New Hampshire has been sentenced to life imprisonment of 40 years due to the charges of murder of his mother. The reason behind killing is the argument between two on the volume of video games he was playing with. He fatally stabbed his mother and killed her. The man named Thomas Humphrey of age 47 years was sentenced on Tuesday after pleading guilty for the charges of second-degree murder and arson of his mother Linda Tufts of age 70 years inside their Goffstown home. “The brutality of this crime simply makes it too dangerous not to impose a very lengthy state prison sentence,” Judge William Delker said.

A prosecutor revealed that Humphrey used to live in the basement, killed Tufts by stabbing her with knife multiple times and set her body on fire. Police found him holding a knife at the bottom of the basement stairs with self-inflicted wounds. He was previously not pleaded guilty on the charges.
