In the Ohio State University, a person fell from the stands and died during the graduation ceremony on Sunday. This incident happened around midday when the last graduates were filing into Ohio Stadium, the Columbus Dispatch reported. It was not clear if the incident was an accident or done intentionally by a student or someone else.

Benjamin Johnson, spokesperson of the University informed in a statement that, the university know about the death but did no have any additional information about what happened.  Students and other persons present in the ceremony got upset and started asking about incident but nobody answered their questions.

“For anyone affected by today’s incident, we will make counseling and other support resources available,” a spokesperson said in a statement. “I don’t want to pretend that I know the pressure that was on the leadership to figure out whether they should continue or not,” the professor said.

As per the reports released by university, 12,555 students have received their certificated and diploma during this graduation ceremony.

The university is also dealing recently with the Gaza war protests which disrupted the university campuses in the whole nation. After a Thursday night crackdown on protests about investments in Israel by the university, approximately three dozen of Ohio State students and demonstrators had faced misdemeanor charges.
