Rookie guard Dyaisha Fair have been waved by the Las Vegas Aces, announced by the team on Sunday. Fair was the third-leading score in NCAA Division I women’s basketball history with 3,403 points and also selected as No. 16 overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft in the previous month. She has impressed to earn a spot on the Aces’ roster during training camp but have seen extremely limited action in the first two weeks of that season. She made her professional debut on Saturday by winning over the Indiana Fever in the team’s blowout.

Fair is undersized even for a point guard by being 5-foor-5 Fair. She always used to face the battle to make out a spot in WNBA. The decision of moving on of the Aces was not so surprising as her timing was bit strange and this made them consider to keep her out of camp.

Due to Candace Parker’s retirement and injury of Chelsea Gray, the Aces is facing a serious issue. In the first four games,  A’ja Wilson, Jackie Young and Kelsey Plum have secured 75% of their points, and the other eight players have earned 90 total points together.

The back-to-back champion Aces are off to a 3-1 start this season and sit in a tie for second place.
