Bernard Hill, Veteran English actor who is known for his role in the “Lord of the Rings” and “Titanic” died at the age of 79. This news was shared by Barbara Dickson on her X (Twitter) account by writing, “It’s with great sadness that I note the death of Bernard Hill. We worked together in John Paul George Ringo and Bert, Willy Russell marvellous show 1974-1975. A really marvellous actor. It was a privilege to have crossed paths with him. RIP Benny x (sic).”

After hearing about his death, Hill’s fans paid tribute to him in many sparkling ways. Many of them mentioned about his versatility in their tributes and his ability to switch roles easily from dramatic historical figures to complex characters such as Yosser Hughes. He has also played a great role in the groundbreaking British miniseries ‘Boys from the Blackstuff.’

He has also played a nice role in the Oscar-winning disaster film of James Camerson as the doomed leader of the RMS Titanic, Captain Edward Smith. His career spanned over five decades by playing a wide range of roles on stage, television and in films. He was the actor who have appeared in two films that won a record-breaking eleven Academy Awards – ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King’ and ‘Titanic.’
